Our Mission

DEAFCYBERCON is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit whose mission is to create an equitable pipeline of career opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing women in cybersecurity. Our aim is to increase the net job growth rate for full- and part-time positions for deaf and hard of hearing women.

Our Impact

DEAFCYBERCON partners with private sector, philanthropic and academic organizations as we seek to gain their commitment to creating an inclusive environment for deaf and hard of hearing women through the use of sign language, interpreters, closed captions or assistive technologies. We facilitate educational activities such as awareness campaigns and industry certification trainings. We manage a collection of products that enable private sector businesses to attract qualified cybersecurity talent, meet their diversity, equity and inclusion objectives and integrate deaf and hard of hearing women into their workforce.

DEAFCYBERCON Founder to Receive CEO of the Year Award

Washington, DC (November 19, 2022): Angela Dingle, DEAFCYBERCON Founder, has been selected as GET Cities DC's CEO of the Year Award recipient, as one of the region's key contributors to the tech ecosystem.

"Your ongoing efforts to support marginalized communities in tech - including women, trans, and nonbinary people - have helped signal the DMV region's commitment to building a diverse and economically competitive tech community" said Ayanna Smith, Managing Director of GET Cities DC. On December 15, 2022, GET Cities will showcase the innovations of women, trans, and nonbinary founders to venture capital investors, tech founders, practitioners, ecosystem leaders, and funders.
